Lark for diabetes prevention publishes results showing significant long-term weight loss

Long term weight loss

The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) emphasizes weight loss because of its impact on risk of type 2 diabetes. For example, every kilogram of excess body weight loss is linked to a 16% reduction in risk for developing type 2 diabetes, but maintaining weight loss long-term is challenging. In this study, Lark participants lost an average of 4.5 kg (4.2% of initial body weight) by the end of a year.
