COVID-19 is impacting Americans in profound ways, and access to tools to manage stress & anxiety is going to be critical to getting through this.

    Is this program part of our current Lark program or is it standalone?

    Our Behavioral Health program is being offered as a standalone program.

    What do we need to do to launch the program? 

    Lark will provide you with a dedicated landing page to make the program available to participants. They will engage with the program via mobile application, and we require no contracting to get set up during this time. We will provide enrollment materials and suggested email copy.

    How do members access the program?

    Members will be able to easily download the mobile application and the link they use to do so will indicate that they are coming from your plan. They will have a back-up access code if they need it.

    Why did you launch this offering?

    In April, 2020, we announced that we would make this offering available to all U.S-based health plans and employers to help members manage feelings of stress and anxiety through on-demand coaching. As the country continues to deal with the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19), recent data from the American Psychiatric Association revealed that 36 percent of Americans reported that the pandemic was having a serious impact on their mental health, while 59 percent of Americans reported that COVID-19 was having a significant effect on their day-to-day lives.

    “At Lark, our mission has always been to provide 24/7, on-demand virtual coaching to help members get and stay healthy, both physically and mentally,” said Julia Hu, CEO of Lark. “Especially at a time like this, we need to deliver holistic solutions to meet members where they are. Our goal is to help ease the mental health burden caused by the pandemic by offering unlimited stress management coaching at no cost.”

    The program is based on rigorous Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and consists of week-long missions and daily check-ins. Over the course of the program, members will receive education on specific stress and anxiety-related topics, be able to log and get coaching on their moods, perform mindfulness exercises, and engage in on-demand exercises to help manage their stress and anxiety. Members will also have access to updated COVID-19 information, including the Centers for Disease and Control’s COVID-19 screening survey setting.
