New Leadership Will Support In-House Legal Team and Drive Culture Efforts Following $100M Series D Funding
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 22, 2021 — Lark Health today announced it has appointed Christian Ricciardiello as General Counsel and Iveta Brigis as Vice President of Human Resources.
Christian joins Lark with deep experience establishing and leading in-house legal teams and advising executive leadership across the healthcare space. Christian most recently served as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs at Rally Health where he led all aspects of legal, privacy, compliance, and business affairs functions. Prior to joining Rally Health in 2015, Christian had a nearly ten-year career at the Central Intelligence Agency where he steered the agency’s litigation and investigations divisions.
“I am excited to join the Lark team,” said Ricciardiello. “The pace of Lark’s growth shows that the company is meeting an important need in the healthcare space, and I look forward to advising the company as it continues working to provide personalized care for those living with, or at-risk for developing, chronic conditions.”
Iveta Brigis is a data-driven HR leader with an impressive track record building high-performing teams in fast-growth environments. After over a decade at Google, Iveta is excited to bring her experience designing innovative and human-centered HR programs to Lark. She will lead the company’s ambitious hiring and recruitment efforts, as well as establish new programs to further develop Lark’s supportive and collaborative company culture.
“A company is only as great as its people, and I can’t wait to build on Lark’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and values-driven culture,” said Brigis. “It’s important for me to work with a company that I believe is moving the needle towards a more equitable and inclusive world, and that’s exactly what Lark is doing.”
“Christian and Iveta both have a proven history leading successful, high-performing teams, and we are pleased to welcome them to Lark at a time when solving the chronic conditions epidemic has never been more urgent,” said Julia Hu, co-founder and CEO of Lark.
This announcement comes during a time of tremendous growth for Lark. Over the past year, Lark has been rapidly building the team – now at 150 employees and counting – in an effort to support its current health plan clients as well as its expansion into other sectors across healthcare. Lark also recently announced that it closed a $100 million Series D funding round led by Deerfield Management Company, which will be used to support further research and development for Lark’s AI chronic disease management and prevention platform.
