Lark’s AI-Powered Chronic Disease Prevention and Management Platform Among Three Offerings Recognized in Its Category

Mountain View, Calif. – August 5th, 2020 – Lark Health announced today that it has been selected as a finalist in the Fierce Innovation Awards – Healthcare Edition 2020, a peer-reviewed awards program from the publisher of Fierce Healthcare. The competition recognizes innovative solutions that demonstrate the greatest potential to save money, engage patients, and revolutionize the industry over the next 12 months.

“Virtual care and remote patient monitoring are increasingly critical to reach every American who is at-risk for or actively managing a chronic disease, especially as we continue navigating the COVID-19 pandemic.  We are encouraged that other health care leaders recognize the power of our work, and we are very excited to be a finalist for this elite award,” said Julia Hu, founder and CEO of Lark Health.

Lark was chosen as a finalist in the category for Digital and Mobile Health Solutions for its chronic disease prevention and management platform, which combines conversational AI with smart connected devices and telephonic care escalation to encourage ongoing behavior change and healthy habits through personalized coaching. Lark’s technology allows it to serve millions of members from the comfort of their homes, which has been especially important for delivering the continuous care needed by chronic patients during COVID-19. Lark’s Digital Diabetes Prevention (DPP) program, the second largest program of its kind in the country, received Full Recognition from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Judges include an exclusive panel of executives from major healthcare companies such as Accenture Health; Aspirus, Inc.; Aveus, a Division of Medecision; Cook Children’s Health Care System; Duncan Regional Hospital; Evolution Road; GNS Healthcare; Hackensack Meridian Health; HMS; and Proliance Surgeons. All applications were evaluated based on a product or service’s effectiveness, technical innovation, competitive advantage, financial impact, and true innovation.  A full list of judges can be found at https://fiercehealthcareawards.secure-platform.com/a/page/judges.
