Study from Omron® Healthcare: Lark® for Hypertension
Hypertension is the leading global risk factor for morbidity and mortality, and it is associated with nearly $50 billion annually in medical costs and lost productivity in the U.S. About half of patients with hypertension have it under control, but lifestyle modifications can help lower blood pressure. Along with using a home blood pressure monitoring system (Omron), participants in this study used Lark for Hypertension, which includes coaching on behaviors such as weight loss, physical activity, adherence to medications, and monitoring blood pressure at home. The average participant lowered blood pressure by 8.4 mm Hg systolic and 6.4 mm Hg diastolic.
